Benoni Durand and His Son Gerard
Mary Ann Durand Balding wrote this feature story. Assisted by her husband Ronald and her sister Anita Oakey, they forwarded many many great classical photos and a great story for this edition.
The Deerslayer John Durand writes again about his adolescence and his dream to become a deerslayer while hunting with other family members. Confessing later in life now, that the only thing he ever shot was to seriously maim some limbs high on a tree after nearly blowing off his cousins head with his shotgun. John also reports that he pawned his gun years ago and took up the pen instead.
